Our History

Paradise Group is a renowned and fast expanding business group in Bangladesh. In 1976, a few years after Bangladesh’s liberation, a visionary named Md. Mosharraf Hossain started a trading company M/S Paradise Electrics Co. in hopes of doing something for the community. With the inception of the trading company – M/S Paradise Electrics Co., Paradise Group started its journey. Currently Paradise Group has 14 companies under its umbrella. The founder, Md. Mosharraf Hossain, wanted his business to expand as quickly as possible and hence he introduced three of his brothers to his business in 1985. In 1989, Md. Mosharraf Hossain founded and constructed Paradise Cables Limited (PCL) factory in Fatullah, Narayanganj. With that, Paradise Cables Limited started manufacturing electric cables of all types and today stands tall as a top ranking cable manufacturing company in Bangladesh. PCL also runs a state of the art modern laboratory for performing various types of tests on its raw materials and products.

PCL produces cables for both domestic and industrial purposes. PCL also produces instrumentation cables and conductors. PCL has a product mix consisting of over 500 types and sizes of cables which are made using oxygen free cathode copper of 99.99% purity. Paradise cables are also produced by strictly adhering to procedures and policies that meet the requirements of standards such as ASTM, BDS, IEC, BS, VDE, etc. In the same year, Md. Mosharraf Hossain also founded a copper and aluminum plant and named it Paradise Metallurgical Complex Limited (PMCL) for producing copper and aluminum rods. In 1990, PCL started producing Power cables and in 1995, High Tension cables were added to the product mix. In 1997, PCL started exporting its cables to India, Nepal and Bhutan. Later, for having an outstanding Quality Management System, PCL received ISO 9002 in 1998 which was eventually upgraded to ISO 9001-2008 in 2011, and in 2018 the ISO 9001:2015 certification. With that, Paradise Cables Limited became the first cable manufacturer to receive the ISO certification in Bangladesh.

In 2012, Paradise Cables Limited received product quality certification from KEMA-KEUR: a globally renowned accreditation body of Netherlands. The certifications enhanced the image of PCL immensely and transformed PCL as a World Class cable manufacturer. Later in 2014, Paradise Cables Limited also received certifications from DNV-GL: a German accreditation body of XLPE shipboard cables. With the strength of the DNV-GL certifications, PCL started manufacturing, marketing and exporting shipboard cables for the ship building sector and rose as an industry pioneer. In 2000, Paradise Cables Limited started a new era by introducing XLPE insulated cables in the Bangladeshi market. The following year PCL supplied cables to many new countries all over the world through United Nations Peace Keeping Mission. In 2003, Paradise Cables Limited started production of FR/FRLS cables. Later the same year, PCL implemented hologram stickers in their packaging to deter others from making counterfeit products. In 2003, Md. Mosharraf Hossain launched a subsidiary concern of PCL named SBS Cables Limited. In 2006, Paradise Cables Limited set up a revolutionary new technology: CCV (Catenary Curing and Vulcanizing) with on-line Nitrogen dry curing plant for producing High Tension Cables up to 33 KV ensuring 99.99% purity. Later in 2008, Md. Mosharraf Hossain established Saleha Wires Limited: a 100% export oriented cable manufacturing company. In 2011, PCL opened its first international showroom in Dubai and in the same year exported cables to General Electric (GE) Energy, USA.

After immense success in the local cable manufacturing industry, Paradise Group launched Paradise Electric and Electronics Industries Limited (PEEIL) in 2014 to cater to consumer electronics segment. Later, the PEEIL factory was established in Sreepur, Gazipur and it started its operations with the production of ceiling fans and CFL bulbs. Due to the high quality of the products, Paradise Ceiling Fans have made quite a name in the local market and are now in high demand.
